– President and Co-Founder

Dave started his professional career in the healthcare technology space. In 2019, he started investing in real estate with an AirBNB property on Cape Cod. What started as a passive income play for building wealth and getting a free vacation blossomed into a complete career pivot into real estate full time as an agent, investor and co-host for short term rentals over the next few years. Dave now owns 2 STRs with his wife, Kim, 6 long term rental units and co-hosts for a number of other New England vacation rentals. He has a passion for helping investors find the right investment and loves offering amazing vacation experiences to guests.

Kim Menapace

– CEO and Co-Founder

Kim has worked in the tech space in Boston for over a decade focusing on product strategy and development. When she and Dave bought their Cape Cod AirBNB in 2019, that investment snowballed into more short term rentals and taking on clients to assist running their STRs. Kim loves applying her skills in strategy, planning and operations to the short term rental space to better run their own properties and run properties for their clients in a way that aligns with their short term and long term goals.

Dave and Kim reside in Holliston, MA with their two kids, Logan and Brooke, and Great Dane, Coal. In their downtime, they enjoy various forms of fitness (running, skiing, crossfit, rock climbing) and trying new restaurants both near home, and at their vacation homes in Cape Cod and Maine.

Jessica Lea

Director of Operations

Rooted in a rich customer service background, Jess’ journey led her to explore real estate investments, ultimately guiding her into the dynamic realm of short-term rental management. Her commitment to fostering a sense of family within the business brought her to The 5 Star Co-Host. Escaping the corporate norm, Jess sought to be part of a team that values everyone—team members, owners, and guests—as an extended family.

As the Director of Operations at The 5 Star Co-Host, Jess plays a vital role in the daily operations. Partnering seamlessly with Dave, she orchestrates the operations, ensuring a smooth flow—from coordinating cleaning and maintenance teams to updating listings. Beyond the day-to-day, she is a go-to for large-scale projects and steps in wherever needed, helping the company adapt to the ever-evolving industry.

Based just south of Chattanooga, TN, in Georgia, When she’s not crafting exceptional experiences, you can find her immersed in the soulful notes of live music. Jess recently discovered her happy place on St. John in the US Virgin Islands and has set her sights on making waves in the short-term rental space on the island in the next few years!

Jean Lingao-Lingao

Guest Support Specialist

Jean has dedicated nearly seven years to honing her skills and gaining valuable experience in customer service with big brands such as AirBNB and Uber. Her impressive background in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry has equipped her with expertise and passion for providing exceptional support which she applies to guest communication and vendor management. With a strong foundation and a drive to excel, Jean brings efficiency, professionalism, and a fresh perspective to her new role on the team at The 5 Star Co-Host.

Guest Support Specialist

An accomplished, dedicated, and professional Customer Service Representative with a two-year track record of delivering outstanding service to clients. I bring extensive experience as a Resolution Specialist at Airbnb, where I focused on addressing complex guest concerns for over a year. Additionally, my background as a Sales Consultant for more than eight years has honed my communication skills and character, enabling me to effectively engage with customers and comprehend their needs. As a passionate individual committed to ensuring customer satisfaction, I am confident that this dedication will contribute to my success in my current position as a Guest & Operations Support Specialist at The 5 Star Co-Host.

We’re Dave and Kim and want to welcome you! We are a husband and wife duo that runs The 5 Star Co-Host, LLC. We are STR owners ourselves and put a lot of care, attention and pride into our properties. We want each and every guest to enjoy their stay and we want our owners to feel comfortable, confident and stress-free as we run their AirBNB on their behalf. Our vendor relationships are also incredibly important to us as they are partners in our business to ensure your success and guest satisfaction. We treat each property as its own business and deeply care about your goals as the owner of the property whether it’s purely as an investment property or a treasured second home. For this reason, we do keep a smaller portfolio of co-hosting clients. We want our business to be the right fit for you and vice versa so we can provide the best service possible.
